Mother - epitome of unconditional love Feb 10, 2012 4:05 am

"Of all the relationships one shares in this world, the relationship with your mother is always nine months more", read Brian in the newspaper's 'Quote Of The Day' section as he got ready to visit his mother for the first time in 13 years. Ms Mills has been ill for quite some time now. This has kept Brian low for sometime as much because of his mother's health as due to the fact that he hasn't been on talking terms with his mother for 13 years now.

He stopped believing in God after, as a 10 year old kid, on Christmas Day he found his mother sharing the bed with a man other than his father. He was too young to know what it meant but was disturbed enough to throw the pen he got as the Christmas gift and cut off all ties with Ms Mills.

Deep in his heart he always longed for his mother but the indignation always superceded his love for his mother. After 13 years, he could not withhold his love for his mother any longer.

The sight of his mother lying on the hospital bed had brought about a sudden burst of emotion and all fond memories before that fateful Christmas Day flashed to his mind. Memories such as crying for his mother when she got a small cut while cutting vegetables, or of days he would not eat until after his mother returned from work. Brian now realized what he has missed in the last 13 years and was happy at last that the wait was going to get over. The bond formed with one's mother over those nine months could indeed be strong.

He stepped out of the house and headed for the hospital. He felt a strange urge to reach faster than he could and seemed to have forgotten that he had already spent 13 years away from her. He reached the hospital and headed straight to her mother's room and just few meters away he could see the nurses pulling away the body of a breathless woman on a gurney. He was still quite far from the room to see who the woman was but he could see the pen in her hand clearly.

Is Woman Really The Root Of All Evils? Jan 22, 2012 3:45 am

One of the many qualities a woman possesses is the ability to incite man to action - good and bad. This is the only reasonable argument I can think of why they are often referred to as the root of all evil.If a man lacks a mind of his own or is so engaged in his lust then why blame the woman.

If I have to make a list of all that are necessary in this world, women will be one of them. The same can be said about men but pragmatically in today's world they offer nothing more than the capacity to impregnate.

Most of us at some point of time may have indulged in some form of offensive behaviour towards women. The reason why most do it or have done it is because they never react, and if at all they do, it's gentle at best. To think they do it out of fear, one has to be really dull-witted. On the contrary, it can be attributed to their high levels of tolerance, perseverance, compassion and selfless existence - traits which most men lack. Try treating a man with an offensive remark and you will know what I mean.

Women, with almost an infinite reserve of such qualities, can be anything but evil.
